SUMMARY:Agricultural Water Management Workshop
DESCRIPTION:What can producers do to increase and protect water availability during low precipitation years? \nAttend this event to discover the grants and water management planning resources available through Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation to improve and protect water management in your operations from Agricultural Water Specialists. Learn about properly siting a dugout to maximize catchment of potential runoff and hear from Alberta Environment and Protected Areas on how to apply for a 10-year or 25-year term license\, as well as pointers on the application process. \nThis event has been specifically planned to allow producers time to make a plan\, have it approved and install new dugouts before the winter freeze up. Delivery will be by webinar with in-person group attendance for Greenview ratepayers. \nWhen: October 8\, 2025\nTime: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm\nLocation: Valleyview Agricultural Society Hall\nCost: Free\n*Supper will be provided for attendees who register prior to October 1\, 2025
